This is a introductory (no prerequisite) course for grade 9 students who have minimal or no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Speaking, listening, reading and simple writing will be introduced. The students will experience Chinese culture through singing, dancing, poetry recitation, games, projects and various activities including a field trip to the Confucius Institute. This course occupies both option choices in a grade 9 timetable.
