Course Description:
Film and Art Media 35
This course provides an open and active structure for the learning and invites students, with the support of a collaborative community, to engage with ideas, colleagues and audiences through film and media art. The purpose of Film and Media Art is to provide learning experiences where students investigate, explore and create Film and Media Art from an artistic perspective.
Film Studies 25 builds on the foundational knowledge established in Film 15 and 25 by expanding to a more hands on approach to media response. This course offers students a chance to engage with a variety of guest experts, and supports the film analysis done in English Language Arts classes, as well the visual analysis of composition done in Digital Arts courses. Film Studies 35 offers students the chance to create their own video response projects and learn more about career and education paths in the film industry.
